How to sell Grok Bots on Capabase

Package a useful Grok Bot template, prepare its share link and setup notes, and publish it on Capabase with clear delivery, fees, and support.

To sell a Grok Bot on Capabase, package a configuration for one clear job, publish its Grok share link, and create a Bot template listing with setup instructions, examples, prerequisites, support, and a price. Capabase validates the link and publishes the listing immediately. A buyer gets the link after Capabase checks their access, then adds a copy to their own Grok account.

The product is the reusable setup and the judgment behind it. A buyer should be able to tell what work it handles, which accounts they need, and what they still have to configure. Read what Grok Bots are if the difference between a Bot, skill, routine, and shared template isn't clear yet. Capabase's Grok Bot seller page explains the marketplace path.

This guide reflects Grok's documentation and Capabase's source, live site, and terms checked on September 3, 2026. It does not report a creator submission, completed purchase, imported Bot, or live Bot test. The customer-feedback example below is an illustration.

Choose a job a buyer can recognize

Start with a workflow you can demonstrate. A proposed "customer feedback brief" Bot is easier to assess than a general "business expert." It would take an export, identify recurring complaints, and produce a brief with source references.

Write down the input, result, and buyer before working on the listing. For this example, the buyer might be a product manager who already has a support export but spends too much time turning it into a useful brief. The setup should explain how to group similar complaints, preserve severity, and separate evidence from interpretation.

The example here is a packaging exercise, not a product we've tested or a listing you can buy. Apply the same questions to a Bot you use yourself. If you can't explain its decisions and failure cases, the product isn't ready.

Prepare a clean version for sharing

Work from a configuration that contains only material you can distribute. Replace customer names, private documents, internal addresses, credentials, and client-specific instructions with clear setup placeholders. Inspect included skills and routines as well as the Bot profile.

Grok's sharing documentation says anyone with a share link can view the shared configuration. Adding the Bot creates a copy without your computer, logins, conversation history, learned memory, or chat attachments. Grok Bot sharing documentation

That makes the buyer's setup guide part of the product. Explain what they must connect and replace before running it. Don't write "ready to go" if the workflow needs access to a paid service, a particular export format, or a company-specific definition.

Show how the buyer should test it

Provide an example input that you have permission to distribute and the output from an actual test. Label synthetic data as synthetic. If you have only written an example, call it an illustration rather than a result.

For the feedback-brief example, useful acceptance checks would include:

  • Each reported problem links back to supplied ticket references.
  • Duplicate tickets follow a stated grouping rule.
  • The brief separates a frequent complaint from a severe one.
  • Missing dates, unusable input, or conflicting fields stop the run instead of producing an invented conclusion.

Include at least one failure case and the behavior you expect. A buyer learns more from "stops when the export has no reporting dates" than from a polished screenshot with no source data.

Keep the first run under the buyer's review. If you include a routine, state its schedule, time zone, current input source, approval boundary, and no-data behavior. Grok's documentation warns that a routine test performs real work. Routine testing guidance

Create and publish the Capabase listing

Sign in, verify your email, and activate creator tools if you haven't already. Open Submit a product and choose Grok Bot Template. Capabase uses external-link delivery for this product type and sets Grok as the target platform.

Add the product name, category, summary, description, price, included material, use cases, prerequisites, and first-run instructions. Paste the public x.ai URL into the Grok bot share link field. Keep the link out of public screenshots and description copy because Capabase reveals the delivery URL only after checking access.

Your listing should make these points easy to inspect:

  • The specific job and intended buyer.
  • What the shared configuration contains.
  • Required Grok access, connected services, and input formats.
  • A first task and the checks a buyer should use on its result.
  • Evidence from your tests, known limits, and the support you provide.

Set a price that the method, examples, and support can justify. Capabase supports free products too. Paid pricing requires completed Stripe setup; free products don't.

When you publish, Capabase validates the x.ai share link and makes the Bot listing live immediately. Bot templates don't go through the archive scan and review path used for file-delivered AI skills and plugins. Link validation proves the destination format, not that the Bot is safe or effective in every buyer's environment. You remain responsible for accurate claims, distribution rights, and support.

Understand what the delivery link protects

Capabase checks a buyer's entitlement before returning an external delivery link. That controls access through the marketplace. The destination remains a public Grok share link once someone has it.

Don't promise that the Bot is private, that the link can't be forwarded, or that a refund can erase a copy already added to Grok. A buyer is paying for your useful configuration and stated support, not exclusive access to an uncopyable hosted agent.

The same distinction applies to updates. State how you'll announce changes and how a buyer can adopt them. Don't promise that editing your original Bot automatically updates copies in other accounts unless you've verified that exact behavior.

For background on another product format, read the guide to Agent Plugins. Choose the format that matches what the buyer receives instead of labeling every AI setup a skill.

Explain fees without overstating earnings

Capabase's published terms set the standard platform fee at 15% of the product sale price excluding taxes, leaving an 85% gross creator share. There is no listing fee or fixed per-transaction fee. Refunds, disputes, and other listed deductions can reduce earnings, and Stripe controls payout timing. Capabase creator terms

For a hypothetical $40 product sale before tax, that split is $34 to the creator and $6 to Capabase before applicable deductions. This illustrates the split. It isn't a revenue forecast.

State the buyer's Grok plan and other service costs separately from your price. Check Grok Bot's current access requirements before publishing because platform availability and included usage can change.

Common questions

Can I sell a Bot I found through someone else's share link?

Access to a public configuration doesn't prove that you have permission to resell it. Capabase requires creators to own or hold the rights needed to distribute their products. Verify those rights before including another person's work. Creator responsibilities

What makes a paid Grok Bot template worth buying?

A credible paid template saves the buyer from reconstructing a specialist method. It provides clear decisions, representative examples, setup instructions, acceptance checks, and support for the stated job. A generic role description offers little reason to pay.

If your Bot already handles one narrow job and passes your own acceptance checks, create a Bot template listing that names the inputs, prerequisites, evidence, limits, and support a buyer will receive.
